Apropos® does not accept returns unless the item received was defective or missing components.

Apropos Handbags is one of several accessory lines owned by our parent Company, Chouette® Handbags. If you have an issue with your purchase, you must call Chouette® Handbags at (888) 588-2468 within 30 days of your order to obtain a required RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number before returning your item. No returns will be accepted under any conditions without completing this process. It is important that we speak with you to determine your problem and properly assess the issue. We want to respond immediately to the issue you are having.

Approved returns must be received within 30 days of your order. Your item must be unused and in the same condition as you received it, with all accessories including dust bag. It must also be in the original packaging,

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you, and may request further communication if needed.

If your return is accepted, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.


We only replace items if they are defective. Please visit the Contact page to email us.

You will be responsible for paying for return shipping costs. All shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a return label from us, the cost of the return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

When shipping your item, please:

Insure your item for its replacement cost with your shipping service. Lost or damaged goods claims must be submitted to your shipper.

  • Make sure the RMA# is clearly visible on the label.
  • Receive a tracking number from your shipping service.
  • We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
